Iconic 30-year-old Porsche goes up for auction

Ana sayfa / Cars

The legendary 911 Carrera RSR model produced by Porsche in 1993 is going up for auction. The sports car, which is said to have only 10 km, is described as one of the company’s rarest models. So how much will the 30-year-old Porsche sell for?

One of the rarest Porsches ever built will go up for auction next month. Expected to fetch between 2 and 2.5 million dollars, the 911 Carrera RSR 3.8 “Strassenversion” is one of only two examples available. The fact that it has only 10 km and retains its original factory finish makes it even rarer. However, it has been in a warehouse in Italy for decades, so it’s pretty dirty.

The RSR was built as an ultra-high performance model aimed at private racing teams. Producing 325-350 hp from its 3.8-liter engine, only 50 of this model were built. Ordered by its first owner, it comes with a comprehensive range of special equipment including jacks, a passenger seat and dual racing engines.

Two new patents from Apple: No need for a ghost screen anymore!

Apple has received 2 new privacy-focused patents. They will prevent others from seeing screens on iPhones and Macs.

Painted in red with leather interior and metallic silver exterior, the car has never been repaired. After the 1993 special build, it was delivered to its first owner and has been in storage for over 30 years.

The 911 Carrera RSR will be auctioned in Abu Dhabi on November 25, just ahead of the F1 races. With its very low mileage, pristine design and being one of only two road-legal examples, bids are expected to reach as high as $2.5 million.
